The carry-around utensil set was originally created in 1920 by Monsieur Paul Deconches
based on models from the 16th and 18th centuries.
This idea has just recently been redesigned and modernized by Gilles Reynewaeter of THIERS ISSARD.
The PICNIC PRINCE has been created using only the noblest of materials
(Extra-thick 18% chrome stainless steel for the fork and spoon, pure brass plates,
hand-polished wooden decorative scales, and a special cordura and leather case)
making it a splendid and original gift for campers, hikers, and picnic lovers.
Parts of the PICNIC PRINCE:
The PICNIC PRINCE is made up of three sections that slide and lock together into one handy unit.
The fork:
Rotate the fork-blade forward from its folded position in order to use.
The extended fork section, complete with a handle, is just the same length
as a standard dinner fork.
Combination Bottle Opener/Can Opener:
To use this (located on the back of the fork section), simply rotate it outwards
to the extended position.
The Knife:
Use thumbnail-groove on side blade to open out knife for use, this is an 11cm blade.
The Spoon:
Rotate the spoon-blade forward from its folded position in order to use.
The extended spoon section, complete with a handle,
is just the same length as a standard soup spoon.
The Corkscrew:
To use a corkscrew (found on the underside of the spoon section)
simply rotate outwards to the extended position and uncork your favorite picnic wine.
